Phil lived in Danvers growing up. A graduate of St John's Prep and Norwich University, Phil started in the insurance business and age 24. He and his wife Patti Decker Richard of Peabody grew their business with 0 clients into a 3600-client business. Recently they merged with The Risman Insurance Group where both Patti and Phil still maintain a role with the organization. Patti providing HR and Accounting functions and Phil providing client retention services, issuing of new policies, as well as some consultative work. Both Patti and Phil have been very much involved with local nonprofits and continue to be part of a couple of Boards of Directors. Risman Insurance/Phil Richard Insurance has multiple locations, over 40 employees, and represent a wide array of insurers and both personal and commercial insurance policies.
